Snowmass man arrested for elbowing bus window

Aspen police arrested a 25-year-old Snowmass Village man early Wednesday morning after he broke a Roaring Fork Transportation Authority bus window at Rubey Park, according to a police report.

Video shows Dylan Konopka, who told police he recently moved to the valley from San Clemente, California, exiting the RFTA bus through the rear door about midnight, then approaching one of the large windows on the side of the bus, winding up with his elbow and striking it.

The window cracked but did not shatter. A RFTA officials determined the damage to be $2,021.29, according to the police report.

An hour after the incident occurred, a RFTA official called police to report that Konopka was at Rubey Park again. Police arrived and later arrested him for felony criminal mischief.
