According to the caption with the image published in The Aspen Illustrated News on Jan. 30, 1969, “George Drummond Mansfield, who paints under the name of Drummond, sets up in the West Village Square to do a landscape. Mansfield has spent the last ten years in the French Quarter of New Orleans, but has now moved to the Roaring Fork Valley and, like scads of other people, is looking for a house in or near Aspen. His work is on exhibit at Flavia at West Village.”
