Snowmass developer creates community website

Aspen Times Staff Report
Aspen, CO Colorado

SNOWMASS VILLAGE ” Snowmass Village developer Related WestPac unveiled a new website Thursday intended to “inform and engage the local community in the planning and development process,” according to a press release.

Although the Snowmass Village-based developer has several websites, most are geared toward those who would buy or rent property in their Base Village development. By contrast, http://www.relatedwestpaccommunity.com is geared almost entirely toward current Snowmass Village residents.

The first page on the menu (planning), describes each of the applications currently under consideration by the town and outlines their benefits. It also details the status of the 22 proposed Base Village buildings and provides the developer’s future plans for West Village and the Snowmass Center.

A frequently asked questions page answers questions such as “Are the Little Nell and Viceroy proceeding on schedule?” (Answer: yes), or “Does Base Village differ from the plan that was approved in 2005?” (Answer: “There have only been minor adjustments to the original Base Village PUD.”)

Another page on the website highlights the developer’s contributions to the community.

In a press release, Chief Operating Officer Dwayne Romero called the website “yet another new channel for continual dialogue.”
