SNOWMASS VILLAGE ” The Town of Snowmass Village has announced the lineup for is series of free Thursday night summer concerts. The series will feature an evening performance each Thursday, July 2-Aug. 6.

The series opens July 2 with funk band Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, led by the saxophonist-singer Denson. Cyril Neville, the singer and percussionist of New Orleans icons the Neville Brothers, brings his own band to Fanny Hill on July 9.

Another New Orleans act, the Iguanas, are set for July 16. The Band of Heathens, a young roots-rock group from Austin, Texas, performs July 23.

Ryan Shaw, a 26-year-old Georgia soul singer with an old-school sound, appears on July 30. The series closes Aug. 6 with New Orleans trombonist Trombone Shorty, whose sextet mixes jazz, funk and hip-hop.

Concerts in the series begin at 6:15 p.m. on the Fanny Hill slope, just off the Snowmass Village mall.
