SNOWMASS VILLAGE – A Snowmass Village Town Council candidates forum will take place Thursday, Oct. 7, in Town Council chambers.

The forum begins at 5 p.m. with refreshments from Taster’s; the question-and-answer session, which will be taped by GrassRoots TV, will begin at approximately 5:20 p.m.

Four candidates – Jason Haber, Fred Kucker, Sally Sparhawk and Kay Honigman-Singer – are vying for two Town Council seats in the Nov. 2 election. Mayor Bill Boineau is running unopposed.

The Snowmass Sun, GrassRoots TV and Thomas Genshaft PC are co-sponsoring the forum. Sun columnists Johnny Boyd and Mel Blumenthal, as well as editor Madeleine Osberger, will moderate the forum.

All are invited to attend the forum and the social gathering that precedes it. Questions will also be taken from the audience.

GrassRoots TV, Channel 12, will air the forum at 9 p.m. on Oct. 8, and at 10 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Oct. 9.

Snowmass Village Town Hall is located at 130 Kearns Road (uphill from the Conoco station). For more information about the forum, call 970-429-9196.
