Snowmass activities: The Collective summer lineup

With summer quickly approaching, The Collective Snowmass has released a new lineup of summer events. This includes lawn games in the Rink, chess club, live music, more festivals, and new events.

Live comedy will be taking place at 7:30 p.m. on select Fridays starting June 9. Comedy WKND will make a return this summer from July 12-14 with national comedians.

Tuesday Trivia Night will begin on the second Tuesday of every month with prizes for winners. Local artists will be hosting community art classes for adults and children, alike. The monthly lineup is available on thecollectivesnowmass.com.

Mawa McQueen will be hosting a guest chef dinner series on select Saturdays, exhibiting diverse dishes inspired by cultures around the nation.

Mawita and the game lounge will reopen June 5; entrance to the game lounge will cost $10 per person and will be open 2-8 p.m. Mawita will be hosting taco Tuesdays.

Community bingo will also return starting Thursday, June 27, complete with prizes.

Drag Queen bingo will have two events in June and September and will have drinks and brunch from Mawita.

Complimentary Rink Fitness classes will take place 9-10 a.m. on the Rink every Saturday and Sunday starting June 15. Make sure to bring water and a mat.

Chess club is also making a return and will be open to all levels of players; however, it has limited space. To reserve a spot, RSVP to ​​chessclubaspensnowmass@gmail.com. 

The Pitkin County Library will be hosting children’s storytime for children 6 and under at 10:30 a.m. in the Collective Hall on Thursdays starting July 11. Storyteller Ayla Howe will host a one-of-a-kind storytelling session on July 21 and Sept. 22.

Local musician Rich Ganson will also be performing music from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesdays, June-August.

Movies Under the Stars will premier June 29 and continue through September and show free family favorites on the rink.
