Smoke your newspaper

Dear Editor:I was extremely disappointed by your Mountain Mayhem Red White & Blue pictures of the July 4 parade, printed July 9 on page A11.There was not one picture of any of the valley vets marching. People were applauding, crying, waving flags, as we marched by. It was heartwarming to me as I marched. The parade was to help unify and bring the people of the United States together 60 years after World War II.Then I see a picture of a local geek looking for a medical handout and “Smoke Bush”; if that’s patriotism – I was 4F.I feel you should smoke your newspaper, not Bush, for printing that picture of July 4 but no vets.Vince SantucciWorld War II and Korean War veteranAspen
