STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. ” Police say a single-engine plane skidded on the Steamboat Springs Airport as it tried to land, crashing into some snow and flipping upside down.

Authorities say none of the four people on board were hospitalized and only one suffered minor injuries. Airport Manager Mel Baker says the plane took off from Denver and the people on board were planning to go skiing.

Baker did not know their names.

He says the recently plowed runway had icy spots when the accident happened Sunday morning. Baker says the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
