While drinking cocktails after skiing in Aspen is about as natural as pairing a fine Cabernet with filet mignon, the Apres Ski Cocktail Classic shines a spotlight on the art of the cocktail. As Aspen residents and visitors sipped on concoctions over the weekend featuring fresh, innovative ingredients — is that sage in my drink on fire? — bartenders, or, ahem, mixologists, distillers and other industry professionals provided a little knowledge as a chaser.
