STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. ” A Pennsylvania man has died while skiing at the Steamboat Ski Area, but authorities say they haven’t determined the cause of death.

Mark Joseph Stout was found dead on an intermediate ski run on Tuesday.

Routt County Coroner Rob Ryg says there were no obvious signs of trauma. An autopsy was planned.

The 45-year-old Stout, of Ottsville, Penn., was skiing with his daughter and friends when he fell behind. They reported him missing when he failed to show up at the base.

At least five other people have died and two others have disappeared and are unaccounted for while skiing or snowboarding in Colorado this year. Some were skiing in the backcountry or outside the boundaries of ski areas.
