A skier died Sunday after hitting a tree at Keystone.
Summit County authorities investigating the death provided no identity information other than indicating the skier was male.
Sheriff’s deputies said they responded to a call shortly before 1 p.m. notifying them that a skier had hit a tree. “It was reported that CPR was in progress,” according to a bulletin from the office of the Summit County sheriff.
Keystone’s ski patrol members apparently transported the skier from a ski area mountainside to the Saint Anthony Keystone Medical Clinic. Health workers at the clinic pronounced him dead, the bulletin said.
