Aspen Times Staff Report

The Aspen Skiing Co. has appointed local resident Lura Padrutt as its online marketing manager.

Padrutt will work on the Skico’s Web site – http://www.skiaspen.com – researching, developing and executing online marketing plans and programs. She will be responsible for content, graphics and programming of the Web site and will work with Web developers, online and corporate partners.

In her new role Padrutt will assist in planning and executing offline advertising and promotions specifically linked to Skico’s Web presence.

“We’re very fortunate to have Lura on board,” Bobbie Burkley, Skico director of marketing, said in a prepared statement. “Her many years’ experience as Webmaster with a local software company will be an asset to our team.”

Padrutt has been a valley resident since 1985. In her career, she most recently served as Intranet and Internet Webmaster for CQG, Inc., an international commodities software company based in Glenwood Springs.

While there, she created and maintained a worldwide corporate Intranet, oversaw content and layout for the company’s Web site and managed several team projects. She also taught snowboarding at Snowmass from 1990 to 1998.

Padrutt is a Microsoft Certified Professional and is trained in HTML, Cascading Style Sheets, Cold Fusion, JavaScript, Adobe PhotoShop, Paint Shop Pro, SQL and UNIX, among others. She joins the marketing team of Bobbie Burkley, Anne Kerr Kennedy and Kelly Murphy.
