Skico gives back to community
Dear Editor:
The Early Learning Center, Aspen’s largest nonprofit child care center for kids ages 5 and younger, would like to offer a public thank-you to Aspen Skiing Co. and Matt Hamilton, who oversees the company’s community philanthropy.
Each year the Early Learning Center throws the Fourth of July carnival and silent auction in Paepcke Park, and because many of its employees have children who attend our school, Skico has offered to donate $2,500 in luxury items to this year’s silent auction. As a result, this year our silent auction will include a golf outing for four, a night at Skico-owned hotels like the Limelight or Little Nell, dinner at Montagna and lift tickets. In short, we’re thrilled!
We applaud Aspen Skiing Co. for being such a family-friendly organization and truly showing us your support of early-childhood education.
