ASPEN – The Roaring Fork Conservancy will hold a riverside cross-country ski outing on Feb. 19 near Aspen and a Feb. 21 moonlight walk on snowshoes in Emma.

The ski event, hosted with Aspen Parks and Open Space, takes place from 5 to 7 p.m. on the Rio Grande Trail, starting at Stein Park. The tour covers about 2.5 miles, focusing on the importance of the riparian ecosystem and offering a chance to enjoy a winter evening.

The snowshoe tour, also from 5 to 7 p.m., is underwritten by Pitkin County Open Space and Trails. Participants will explore the 74-acre Emma Open Space in the moonlight.
