Dear Editor:I would like to urge everyone that votes in the City of Aspen to sign the petition currently circulating around town regarding NO BUILDINGS in the Rio Grande Park recycle site. By signing the petition, you could have the right to actually vote on this issue rather than the City of Aspen shoving another expensive project/development down your throat! The recycle drop-off site definitely needs a face lift but not a total reconstruction that includes two buildings with heavy steel columns, walls, ramps and roofs up to 20 feet tall. How about a more environmentally friendly approach, with berms, trees/landscaping and lowering the site to minimize visibility and mountain view planes? Remember, this is a park and should look like one too!Sign the petition so that you can exercise your right to vote in November on this important issue!Debra MooreAspen
