Sign of lions

Janet Urquhart/The Aspen TimesA bicyclist pedals up the Rio Grande Trail Wednesday, above the Catherine Store Bridge near Carbondale, where a sign warns trail users of the possible presence of mountain lions. The Colorado Division of Wildlife posted the sign after several reported sightings, but has received no additional reports and may remove the sign soon, said DOW spokesman Randy Hampton. "Lions don't typically hang out in one area for a long period of time," he said. "In all likelihood, it's moved on."
