Share the wealth

Dear Editor:Please allow me, one more time, to explain how and why each verified American citizen should receive an equal share of our national wealth.Let’s begin with $1,000 per month from age 18 through life – no exceptions – including U.S. citizens who are incarcerated. This money would be owned by each individual U.S. citizen and could not be taken for any reason; also, this is tax-free to them. (If a U.S. citizen doesn’t want this, or need this, they may apply it to our national debt.) Our Treasury Department would transfer this amount to the bank of choice for each individual U.S. citizen because our banks have more reliable systems of identification.1. This system would provide a perpetual census of all U.S. citizens 18 years old or older.2. It is not realistic for U.S. citizens to expect our government to micromanage our lives: In the case of a national disaster, as well as other times, U.S. citizens must be informed of pending disasters and be prepared as well as have the means to relocate, if they wish, either temporarily or permanently.Eloise llgenCarbondale
