Seven public hearings on council agenda

The Aspen City Council will hold seven public hearings at its regular meeting tonight, covering everything from a new requirements concerning sidewalks in need of repair to development plans involving local hotels.

The public hearings are expected to commence shortly after the meeting begins, at 5 p.m.

According to the council agenda, the hearings are: a code amendment regarding responsibility for fixing sidewalks in need of repair; an internal accounting measure affecting debt service for the Burlingame Ranch Seasonal Housing project; a code amendment concerning the use of “accessory dwelling units”; a planned unit development proposal for the St. Moritz lodge; an amendment in the terms of office and number of members for the city’s Liquor Licensing Authority board; a debt-financing agreement with the Music Associates of Aspen; and a planned unit development proposal for the Aspen Mountain Lodge property (the Grand Aspen Hotel and the Top of Mill site.)

The public is invited to attend and comment on any or all of the council’s public hearings.
