Set an example with Amendment 44

Dear Editor:Our thanks to John Colson for his well-reasoned column endorsing Amendment 44, the proposal to legalize an ounce of marijuana in Colorado for adults. There is absolutely nothing wrong with smoking marijuana, and it should be of no interest to the government. It is time we stopped arresting, and started respecting, the tens of millions of otherwise law-abiding Americans who smoke marijuana responsibly.Colorado has the unique opportunity to show the nation there is a better way. As goes Colorado, so goes the nation.Keith Stroup, Esq.NORML Legal CounselWashington, D.C.
