Seniors say thanks
Dear Editor:On behalf of senior citizens living in the Roaring Fork Valley who recently gathered in Aspen for several activities, I wish to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Aspen Elks Lodge, Aspen’s own Girl Scout Troop and the Aspen Skiing Co.During the Christmas holidays, we were treated to a wonderful lunch prepared by Aspen Elks Lodge chef Bruce Pearson. This gathering proved to be very special, as we were diligently served Bruce’s great cooking by Aspen’s own Girl Scout Troop; they are an inspiring group of youngsters. Also, our appreciation again goes out to members of the Elks Lodge for serving lunch and afterward, providing first-class viewing of the Wintersköl Parade. Finally, we extend deep gratitude to the employees of the Aspen Skiing Co., who recently assured our passage on the gondola to the top of Aspen Mountain, treated us to a delightful breakfast at the Sundeck and provided plenty of laughter with a drawing for prizes.Irene HartmanCarbondale
