Selby: Aspen Art Museum hosts The NOW: A Dinner Dance

02: Larry Marx and John Phelan.

The Aspen Art Museum’s annual benefit Dec. 28 took a turn from its traditional apres-ski affair into a winter dinner, fashion show and dance party. The CEO and director, the board of trustees and national council of the Aspen Art Museum welcomed patrons to The St. Regis ballroom for the festive event with its new theme, The NOW: A Dinner Dance. Guests enjoyed cocktails and caviar while perusing the silent auction featuring fine vintages and exclusive handbags among other coveted items. A seated dinner and live auction followed, culminating in a fashion show of evening and outerwear from designer Dennis Basso. To cap off the evening, Los Angeles-based DJ Sosupersam took the stage as attendees jumped up on the runway for a dance party into the night. The change in Colorado is part of a national switch that will enable the national rollout of 988, which will be the National Suicide Hotline. That number will take callers to the National Suicide Prevention Hotline, which will go live July 16, 2022.
