Search for body continues in Colorado River near Glenwood

GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. – Search and rescue crews are searching for a body that was seen floating down the Colorado River in Garfield County.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s office and the Glenwood Springs Fire Department began their search Wednesday afternoon after a woman called to report what she believed to be a body floating down the river near the No Name rest area in Glenwood Canyon.
Search crews stopped the search Wednesday after dark but resumed Thursday morning.

A group of relay participants will walk from downtown Aspen to Buttermilk Ski Area on Tuesday evening to complete one leg of a month-long, 3,900-mile journey across nearly 10 states for a “Carry the Load” event honoring fallen military personnel and first responders.
