Scotlyn ‘Patti’ Dentel

Scotlyn “Patti” Dentel, passed away peacefully at her residence in Sopris Village, Carbondale on July 24. She recently celebrated her 49 birthday three days earlier.
Patti was born in Easton, Md. in 1961. She attended Easton High School, where she excelled in the volleyball program and subsequently received a scholarship to Chowan College in North Carolina. She worked locally in Easton for Todd’s Market for many years.
She moved to Aspen in the summer of 1986, where she worked as a purchasing agent at Carl’s Pharmacy for nearly 17 years.
Patti will be remembered for her keen sense of humor, her love of gardening, her compassion for her two cats, Clementine and Sailor, and her love for her friends and family. Patti may not have had the chance to thank you, but a heartfelt thank you, to all that were close to her….
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Phyllis “Polly” Patrick, and her brother Joey.
She is survived by her husband, Lance Dentel, of Colorado; brothers Stanley (Doreen) Patrick, Stephen (Nancy) Patrick and Michael Patrick; sister Robin Patrick; nephew Joseph and niece Scotlyn LeCates; and her great-niece, “Little Polly,” all of Easton, Md.; and sister Dawn (Gary) Watts and their children, Keegan and McKenna, of Colorado.

A “Celebration of Patti’s Life” will be held in Easton, Md. and here in the Roaring Fork Valley sometime in September. An announcement will be made for all her loving and caring friends and family.
