Schimpf couple celebrate golden anniversary

The daughters of Wayne and Kathy Schimpf, of Basalt, would like to congratulate them on their 50 years of marriage. Born and raised in Aspen, Kathy met Wayne after he moved here from Denver to work construction with his father. It did not take long for them to decide where their future lay.

Married on July 1, 1964, they began their lives together. Through many ups and downs, they have endured and shared many blessings from God. They are both passionate about their children and grandchildren, focusing all of their love and energy on the cares and concerns of their family. Now best friends, they enjoy traveling in their motor home with their dogs, spending time with their family and looking forward to many years ahead.
