Scenes from the summer
Fall officially commenced last week with the autumnal equinox on Sept. 22. Reflecting on another splendid summer in the Rockies, images of hiking, biking, wining, dining and socializing come to mind.In tribute to the summer, scenes from the season are featured this week. Among the social highlights was an annual summer party hosted by BJ Adams & Company at their yellow farmhouse office. As a client appreciation celebration, the event also commemorated 10 years of business for the Snowmass Village real estate firm. The Sirens performed big-band swing, Motown and pop; Doc Eason and Jeff Edmonds served up some magic tricks; and Michael McHugh catered the evening affair.
As for hip hangouts, 39 Degrees at The Sky Hotel offered an entertaining environment with its poolside lounge.Making a transition after 20 years, Casey Coffman of Takah Sushi decided the restaurant will relocate to the former Grottos on the Cooper Avenue mall. Following a complete renovation of the downstairs space, Takah will open in time for winter with an expanded dining area, kitchen and patio.
As the fall colors continue to radiate over the next few weeks, get out there and enjoy some time on the trails. To contact May to send info, insight or invites, e-mail allthewaymaymay@hotmail.com
