Say no to more Wilderness

Dear Editor:

I strongly believe that the Hidden Gems Proposal will severely limit the opportunities for recreation in the valley. We must understand that although the wilderness has many wild plants and animals present, it also belongs to us humans. If only hiking is allowed on certain trails, then we are not getting the full recreational value of our beautiful state. By no means would different kinds of recreation spoil our environment. Therefore, in the interest of getting the full benefits of our open spaces, we should vote no on the Hidden Gems proposal.
