Save the Isis

Dear Editor:In response to Paul Andersen’s commentary “The Isis Crisis” (Monday, June 12), I’d like to point out that the Isis is the only full-time movie theater left in Aspen. The Wheeler Opera House and Paepcke Auditorium are intended to serve many masters and a diverse array of programs and services. The Isis is Aspen’s only multiscreen facility intended and equipped to exhibit the full spectrum of commercial and art-house films on a year-round basis. It’s one of the few remaining affordable community family amenities servicing local and part-time residents, as well as our resort guests. Let’s make sure we don’t lose it.Mel D. BlumenthalSanta Monica, Calif., and Snowmass
