Santa Claus gets a lift in midvalley

BASALT ” Santa is getting a lift from his friends at the Basalt fire department Friday and Saturday night to visit midvalley neighborhoods.

Santa will leave the Basalt fire station at 5:30 p.m. Friday and visit Elk Run, Southside and Old Town Basalt. Listen for the Christmas music, then come out and give Santa a wave.

On Saturday night, Santa will again depart the fire station at 5:30 p.m., then visit Blue Lake, El Jebel mobile home park, Sopris Village, Willits and the Summit Vista area.
