Sam will be missed

Dear Editor:Sam Esmiol, who recently passed away due to a paragliding accident in Aspen, was a Big Buddy with The Buddy Program. He became involved with the program because he wanted to give back to the community by being a positive influence in a child’s life. He was paired with a 7-year-old boy in March 2005 and they shared lots of unforgettable moments together – from birthday parties to outdoor activities. They always had fun when they were together.Sam will be remembered for his love and passion for the outdoors as well as his integrity, sensitivity, and respect for others. Sam made a great contribution to our program and our community by participating and building a relationship; for that we are grateful. Sam will be greatly missed by his Little Buddy and by all who had the pleasure of meeting him. He will remain in our hearts forever.Sole LoweThe Buddy Program
