Saddened by Craig Ranch listing
Dear Editor:
Word had been circulating for months that the Craig Ranch might be put on the market, so the news of that event did not come as a complete surprise to those of us in Woody Creek.
However, it still struck many of us as if we had been told that a dear friend had an incurable illness. For all practical purposes it is the final piece of agricultural land in Woody Creek that has not been developed or is on the market. It is a sad day for many of us.
Our only hope is that whomever buys that property (I believe it is close to 900-plus acres) will treat it with the respect and give it the same care as the Craig family did. All we can do is hope.
