The Colorado Department of Transportation reported Wednesday that Highway 133 is closed at milemarker 29.5, north of Paonia, due to a rock slide.

Traffic is being diverted at the Collbran turn-off, around milemarker 36, and at Kebler Pass at milemarker 24. The closure is expected to be long-term.

“CDOT crews are on scene and working with a geohazards contractor to begin the process of downsizing the boulders to clear the highway,” according to CDOT’s Facebook page. “There is no estimated time for reopening. Please check back here or visit our traveler information website http://www.COTRIP.org for updates.”
