Rockslide being cleared from I-70 in Glenwood Canyon

GLENWOOD SPRINGS – A rockslide in Glenwood Canyon early Friday morning was expected to be cleared from the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 by about 7 a.m., according to the Colorado State Patrol. One lane was open to travel.
A commercial vehicle was damaged in the slide, but no one was injured, according to the patrol. The Colorado Department of Transportation anticipated all lanes would be open by about 7 a.m.
The vehicle involved in the slide has been removed from the scene. The slide occurred at about 3:30 a.m. in the area of the Hanging Lakes Tunnel, according to the state patrol.
