Road work to begin at major Basalt intersection

BASALT – The town of Basalt is warning motorists that road work at a main intersection in town will require a detour throughout this week.

Work is slated to start Monday at the east intersection of Midland Avenue and Two Rivers Road. The stretch will be closed to remove old asphalt and replace it with concrete. The work is scheduled to continue through Friday.

A detour will be in place on Midland Spur for access to Midland Avenue and Basalt Center Circle. All businesses will remain open during the construction.
