Rippy avoids open space
Mayor Helen Klanderud was right on concerning Rep. Greg Rippy’s proposed modification of the amendment to House Bill 1203 (acquisition of open space by home-rule municipalities).
It avoided the issue of home-rule municipalities exercising condemnation proceedings in acquiring open space. Unfortunately, Rippy is not dedicated to open space. If you care about open space, vote for a name other than Rippy in November!
