Rio Grande Trail detour set in Woody Creek

Rio Grande Trail users will be detoured onto Upper River Road in Woody Creek for about 1,300 feet, starting today, to accommodate paving of a currently unpaved segment of the trail and installation of a bridge.

The detour will be in place until completion of the project in mid-October. The bridge, to span the actual Woody Creek, will be installed in September. The trail detour will extend between the Woody Creek Post Office and Woody Creek Road.

Gould Construction is the contractor for the Pitkin County Open Space and Trails project.
