Rio Grande rocks

Dear Editor:What a great action shot taken by Aspen Times photographer Mark Fox of one of Aspen’s local teenagers, Raymond Vierra, jumping off rocks into the Roaring Fork River. It sure looks like a great way to cool off after skateboarding, playing basketball, riding your bike, playing soccer, rugby or lacrosse in one of Aspen’s most used parks … Rio Grande Park. From John Denver’s Sanctuary Park to the Theatre in the Park or Aspen Art Museum’s tours, the cool, refreshing, rapidly rushing river waters sure looks real inviting all summer long. What a great place … the Rio Grande Park would be … to have a safe jumping and swimming Huckleberry Finn-type of watering hole.Toni KronbergAspen
