Riding horses for a cure
Dear Editor:
High Aspen Ranch, assisted by the Roaring Fork Valley Horse Council, is holding the Horseback Ride for the Cure benefiting Susan G. Komen Aspen on Sunday, Aug. 8.
The horseback ride is at the incredible High Aspen Ranch at the summit of Missouri Heights. There are spectacular views all around, the trails are wonderful for the ride, and there will be a picnic lunch with live music from Twerp Anderson. It will be a great day!
There is also a preride party for registered riders at the Ives Ranch on Lower River Road on Saturday, Aug. 7. The minimum contribution to participate is $120 per rider, and if you would like to go to the picnic only, it’s $50 (of course, larger contributions are greatly appreciated). Choose your pace, “poke-alongs” and “giddy-ups” are welcome!
To learn more and to sign up, call Vicki at Komen Aspen at 970-920-0250 or me at 970-920-1186. Credit cards accepted. Please sign up by Monday, Aug. 2.
