Richard Charles Goldstein

Richard Charles Goldstein, 67, of Aspen, died Jan. 16, 2009 in Denver.

A funeral service was held Jan. 19 at Temple Sinai in Denver. Friends are welcome at a memorial service at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20, in the Kaufman Room at the Doerr-Hosier Center of The Aspen Institute. A private burial will also take place Tuesday. Farnum Holt Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Goldstein was born in Boston, Mass. in 1941, son of Evelyn and Jules Goldstein. In 1967, he moved to Denver, where he raised a family and fell in love with the mountains. He relocated to Aspen part-time in the late 1980s and became a full-time resident in 1991. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, generosity and adventurous spirit. He enhanced the lives of many individuals in our community.

He is survived by son Jeffrey S. Goldstein, daughters Julie A. Goldstein and Leslie K. Goldstein, brother Herbert Goldstein and grandchildren Jared, Ezra, Lily and Ava.
