Retiring with gratitude

Dear Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff, parents and students of Basalt High School (BHS) for the wonderful retirement reception. The number of people who could attend on this busy week overwhelmed me, and I appreciated the many kind comments made.

With 32 years in public education, I was very fortunate to be the principal of Basalt High School for the past eight years. I have always believed that BHS is such a good place because of the great students, supportive parents and strong teaching staff. Thanks for the great years.
