The U.S. Revolution Tour wrapped up Wednesday at Buttermilk Ski Area.

Focused on athletes ages 13-19 (though not limited to that range), the contests are part of the NorAm series and serve as a feeder system to the World Cup. This event had long been known as the Aspen Freeskiing Open until recent years.

Aspen served as the second of three Rev Tour stops this season, the first having been held at Copper Mountain in January. The last is a trip to Mammoth from March 16-21.

Here’s a quick rundown of how each competition went down this week at Buttermilk:

Skiing

Men’s halfpipe

Aspen was well represented in the pipe on Sunday as the action got underway. Rising star Tristan Feinberg won, followed by fellow local skiers Nick Geiser and Kai Morris for the Aspen podium sweep. Hunter Maytin, another Aspen skier, was seventh.

Feinberg, 21, recently finished 10th at the Aspen World Cup. He was also competing Friday during qualifiers for the Calgary World Cup, but did not advance to finals.

Men’s slopestyle

Canada’s Alexander Henderson took the slopestyle win on Monday, the first FIS victory for the 21-year-old. Utah’s Henry Townshend was second — he was the Youth Olympic Games champion from a year ago — while fellow Park City skier James Kanzler was third.

Women’s halfpipe

One of the few non-Americans competing in the contest, Australia’s Indra Brown took the win. It was arguably the biggest victory under the FIS banner for the 15-year-old. California’s Kathryn Gray was second and 13-year-old Team Summit skier Lainey Steen was third. Aspen’s own Hanna Lamm was eighth.

Women’s slopestyle

In a NorAm Cup rarity, no Americans made the podium. Canada’s Brynn Johnston took the win, her first under the FIS banner since winning big air gold at the junior world championships in 2022. Indra Brown, a day after winning in the halfpipe, returned to take second in slopestyle. Canada’s Naomi Urness was third. Killington’s Eleanor Andrews led the U.S., finishing sixth.

Snowboarding

Men’s halfpipe

Leadville’s Jason Wolle, a veteran rider at 25, took the halfpipe snowboarding win on Tuesday. He narrowly bested Stratton Mountain teen Noah Avallone, while Mammoth product Toranosuke Komiyama, a mere 13, was third. Jasper Grimm, a local rider, was ninth.

Women’s halfpipe

Mammoth teen Sonny Alba, who made her lone X Games appearance in 2021 when she was only 14, took her third career NorAm Cup win. Steamboat’s Aimee Wild, currently 14, was second, and Canada’s Felicity Geremia was third.

Men’s slopestyle

This was one of the most loaded U.S. Rev Tour fields you’ll find. California’s Judd Henkes, the 23-year-old who has been part of three world championship rosters for the U.S., won Wednesday’s final. Minnesota’s Liam Johnson was second, and North Carolina’s Fynn Bullock was third. Colorado’s Chris Corning, the two-time Olympian who once trained in Aspen, finished fifth.

Women’s slopestyle

California’s Hahna Norman, who rides with the Vail ski club, took the slopestyle crown over Wisconsin’s Courtney Rummel, a 2022 Olympian. Sweden’s Novalie Engholm was third.
