Restaurant to donate portion of food sales to nonprofit

El Rincon restaurant will donate a portion of the proceeds from today’s dinner sales to Response, an Aspen nonprofit that provides assistance for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Aiden Wynn, managing owner of the restaurant at the corner of Main and Mill streets, said the eatery is participating in the “Dine Out for DV” initiative between 3 p.m. and closing time. A percentage of each customer’s final tab will be provided to Response in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Three other local restaurants have participated in “Dine Out for DV” during October: Jimmy’s in Aspen, Tempranillo in Basalt and Eight K in Snowmass Village.

El Rincon is formerly known as La Cantina. For more information, call the restaurant at 970-925-3663.
