Rest in peace, Frau Meyer

Dear Editor:I was saddened by the notice in the Aspen Times on Friday, March 24, of the passing away of Trudi Meyer.I first met Trudi in 1955 when she was 40 years old and she would greet us at Guido’s Swiss Inn. She was always gracious and made you feel that you were special at the inn and later at her gift shop. I still remember in 1963 when my wife and I brought our 6-month-old son to the inn and Trudi assigned one of her Swiss-dressed waitresses to take care of him.She had a long life, and now she and Guido are together again. Rest in peace, Frau Meyer!Chris TessemBasalt
