You may never need us, but we need you. RESPONSE: Help for Survivors of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault will be conducting a free 30-hour training beginning Oct. 7. This training, conducted by professionals from the community, will prepare you to serve survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, sensitively and effectively by providing crisis intervention, counseling, advocacy and information about and referral to appropriate resources.
Our volunteer advocates are our strength. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our residents, visitors and employees. Those with bilingual skills are strongly encouraged to attend. To register and for further information call 920-5357.

Longhorn seniors clear final hurdles to graduate from Basalt High School
Andrew Huntsman and Ralph Smalley were chosen by the seniors to give the class address during Basalt High School’s graduation ceremony on Saturday. This had the two BHS teachers questioning the legitimacy of those diplomas they were about to hand out.
