Renowned dog trainer to give demonstration in Old Snowmass

OLD SNOWMASS – Renowned dog trainer David Dikeman will provide a hands-on demonstration with local trained and untrained dogs from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at 2928 Snowmass Creek Road in Old Snowmass.

The event is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted and given to the Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter.

Dikeman, who lives in Kansas City, Mo., has trained dogs since 1973. In 1990, he produced his Command Performance Dog Training System, which has sold nearly 2 million copies worldwide in eight languages.

He will be available for a few short sessions after Saturday’s demonstration for a fee; a sign-up sheet will be available at the free demo.
