Renee Rorvick

Renee Lynn Rorvick, of Aspen, died unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 10, 2011 in Stillwater, Minn. She was 47.

She was born the daughter of Ronald L. and Jean O. Moslet Rorvick on Oct. 20, 1963 in Hudson, Minn.

Renee was a 1981 graduate of Hudson High School. She danced with the Minnesota Dance Theater. She furthered her studies of music theory at Macphail University, and went on to earn her bachelors of arts degree, in communications and broadcasting, from the University of Minnesota.

Upon graduating, Renee acted and modeled in the Twin Cities, while working in retail.

After several years, she moved to London. Following her dreams, she then moved to the mountains. She made Colorado her home, where she was an avid skier and loved to be outdoors. Through the years, she worked as a manager at several retail stores; most recently she managed Brioni, a boutique of fine clothing, in Aspen.

Renee will remain in the hearts of her father, Ron Rorvick of Bayport, Minn.; mother, Jean Taylor of Stillwater, Minn.; sister, Robin (Tom) Athmann of Stillwater, Minn.; niece and nephew, Bryanna and Nicholas Athmann; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be held for Renee at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 15 at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home of Hudson. There will be a visitation from 1 p.m. until start of the service. Celebrant Kathleen Helgeson will officiate the service.

It was Renee’s wish to be laid to rest in the mountains of Colorado.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the donor’s choice are preferred. Services have been entrusted to the O’Connell Funeral Homes and Countryside Crematory, 715-386-3725.
