Reinstate Jim

Dear Editor:

It’s not every day that a town like ours is lucky enough to have a police officer like Jim Crowley on its force. Here is a man who has dedicated the last 18 years of his life to making Aspen a safer place for all of us to live.

Yet, even with all Jim’s dedication and experience, the Aspen Place Department has chosen to terminate him rather than take rehabilitative measures, even though this is not the procedural norm. Apparently this was his first offense. Jim appears to have been an exemplary employee of the department. Doesn’t he deserve the same commitment from his employer that he has given them for almost the last two

Please reinstate Jim. He’s too good a man to lose.
