Registration underway for Chris Bove celebration

Registration is open for the 10th annual memorial event honoring Chris Bove, with this year’s event having significant changes.

The first nine editions were centered around an uphill competition at Buttermilk ski area, with Challenge Aspen as the sponsor. This year’s version, on Feb. 18, is different and will include NASTAR races at Snowmass as well as a picnic party. Proceeds will help Challenge Aspen raise money for a scholarship in the name of Bove, who was a ski instructor and supporter of the nonprofit.

Also on tap will be live music, a cash bar and prizes. Discount rates are available for children, families and groups.

The event will be held at Spider Sabich Picnic Palace and Race Arena, with the NASTAR races starting at 10 a.m. and the picnic beginning at 11 a.m.
