Basalt Fire Department calls

Editor’s note: The following are calls made to the Basalt Fire Department from Aug. 26 through Saturday.

Aug. 26 at 12:10 p.m. — Firefighters were called to Fork Lane for a smoke alarm. The alarm was faulty, and no assistance was needed.



Aug. 28 at 5:31 a.m. — An ambulance was called to downtown Basalt for a man with heart issues. He was transported to the hospital for further care.

Aug. 29 at 3:05 p.m. — Firefighters were called to Cemetery Road for a smoke alarm. The alarm malfunctioned, and no assistance was needed.




Aug. 29 at 6:44 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Sopris Village for a sick man. He was transported to the hospital for further care.

Saturday at 10:22 a.m. — An ambulance was called to downtown Basalt for an unresponsive woman. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Saturday at 2:54 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Savage Lakes for a man with difficulty breathing. He was transported via helicopter to a hospital for further treatment.

Saturday at 9:48 p.m. — An ambulance was called to Arbor Park Drive for a man with potential injuries from a fall. He was transported to the hospital for further care.
