From the 8 a.m. start of the Boogie’s Diner Buddy Five Mile footrace to the last blast of fireworks on Monday night, Aspen threw a fabulous Fourth of July celebration. As the old adage goes, “Everyone loves a parade,” which was evidenced by the spectator-lined streets throughout town. Creative floats featuring live bands and livestock as well as fleets of Harleys, cruiser bicyclists and unicyclists worked their way through the parade route. The crowd enjoyed candy, bomb pops and water balloons, which were distributed by various passing floats.

The Hotel Jerome hosted a happening post-parade party in their courtyard with live tunes from Jes Grew. The Aspen Art Museum also opened its lawn to members and guests alike for music, food and drinks.Backyard barbecues brought friends together throughout the afternoon and evening as kids of all ages celebrated Independence Day.To contact May to send info, insights or invites, e-mail allthewaymaymay@hotmail.comTo contact May to send info, insights or invites, e-mail allthewaymaymay@hotmail.com
