Really important people
Dear Editor:
To the people on the floor at the Indigo Girls/Lucy Wainwright Roche show at the Belly Up:
I was in awe to be near you. You must be such important people (obviously discussing national security or international finance). To be near people whose business was so critical to life itself that it could not wait for the switch between artists, nor even a gap between songs to discuss whatever you were discussing that was so important it couldn’t wait another moment, wow.
I thought I was there to listen to some amazing artists, but now I know I was near people far more important than mere artists and performers. Wow.
